Welcome to Authentic Marriages.

These Website Terms & Conditions and Disclaimer (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Authentic Marriages website, online content, resources, forms, downloads, educational materials, and other website features.

Please read these Terms carefully.

By accessing or using this Website, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree with them, please discontinue use of the Website.

1. ABOUT AUTHENTIC MARRIAGES

Authentic Marriages, LLC (“Authentic Marriages,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) provides relationship-focused clinical, educational, coaching, faith-based, and wellness services.

Offerings may include:

  • couples therapy;

  • individual psychotherapy;

  • trauma-focused therapy;

  • marriage intensives;

  • relationship coaching;

  • men's and women's groups;

  • retreats;

  • workshops;

  • courses;

  • educational programs;

  • speaking engagements;

  • faith-based and ministry-related resources;

  • digital resources; and

  • relationship education.

Not every service offered by Authentic Marriages is psychotherapy, healthcare, or a professional clinical service.

The nature of the relationship between you and Authentic Marriages depends upon the particular service in which you participate and the agreements applicable to that service.

2. WEBSITE INFORMATION IS NOT THERAPY OR MEDICAL CARE

The information available through this Website is provided for general informational, educational, and promotional purposes.

Website content does not constitute:

  • psychotherapy;

  • psychiatric treatment;

  • medical treatment;

  • diagnosis;

  • individualized mental-health advice;

  • a professional clinical assessment;

  • legal advice;

  • financial advice; or

  • emergency or crisis services.

You should not use Website content as a substitute for individualized evaluation or treatment from a qualified professional who is familiar with your circumstances.

3. NO THERAPIST-CLIENT OR PHYSICIAN-PATIENT RELATIONSHIP

Accessing this Website does not establish a professional healthcare relationship with Authentic Marriages, Jared Kiddoe, Kaara Kiddoe, or any clinician, coach, facilitator, employee, contractor, or affiliated professional.

A therapist-client, physician-patient, or other clinical relationship is created only after the appropriate professional determines that services can be provided and all required intake, informed-consent, eligibility, and administrative procedures have been completed.

Submitting:

  • a contact form;

  • consultation request;

  • email;

  • social-media message;

  • questionnaire;

  • assessment;

  • application;

  • inquiry; or

  • registration request

does not by itself establish a clinical relationship.

We may decline a request for services when appropriate.

4. CLINICAL SERVICES ARE AVAILABLE ONLY WHERE LEGALLY PERMITTED

Licensed healthcare professionals affiliated with Authentic Marriages provide clinical services only when and where permitted by their professional licenses, applicable laws, and professional regulations.

The availability of information about a service on this Website does not mean that a particular clinician may legally provide that service to every visitor in every state, territory, or country.

Eligibility for clinical care may depend upon your physical location at the time services are provided.

5. COACHING IS NOT PSYCHOTHERAPY

Relationship coaching and other coaching services offered by Authentic Marriages are educational and goal-oriented services and are distinct from psychotherapy.

Unless specifically identified as clinical treatment, coaching does not involve:

  • diagnosis of a mental-health condition;

  • treatment of a psychiatric disorder;

  • psychotherapy;

  • creation of a clinical treatment record; or

  • establishment of a therapist-client relationship.

The fact that a coach may also hold a professional healthcare license does not automatically transform a coaching relationship into psychotherapy.

If a concern arises that would be more appropriately addressed through clinical treatment, we may recommend that you seek services from an appropriately licensed mental-health or medical professional.

Coaching services may be governed by a separate coaching agreement.

6. GROUPS, RETREATS, WORKSHOPS, AND EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS

Authentic Marriages may offer groups, retreats, workshops, courses, marriage programs, faith-based programs, and other educational or experiential services.

The nature of each program will be described in its registration materials or participant agreement.

Participation in a non-clinical program does not automatically establish a therapist-client relationship.

Participant Confidentiality

We may ask participants in groups, retreats, workshops, or similar programs to respect one another's privacy and maintain confidentiality concerning information shared by other participants.

However, Authentic Marriages cannot guarantee that another participant will maintain confidentiality.

Participants should use their own judgment concerning highly sensitive information disclosed in a group setting.

Clinical therapy groups, if offered, may be subject to additional confidentiality rules and informed-consent documents.

7. FAITH-BASED CONTENT

Authentic Marriages incorporates Christian principles into some of its programs, resources, and services.

Faith-based information on this Website is intended to support reflection, relationships, personal growth, and spiritual development.

Unless expressly identified otherwise, Website content is not intended to establish a clergy-parishioner, pastoral-counseling, or other legally privileged religious relationship.

Spiritual or faith-based content is not a substitute for appropriate medical, psychiatric, psychological, or emergency care.

8. EMERGENCIES AND CRISIS SITUATIONS

THIS WEBSITE IS NOT AN EMERGENCY OR CRISIS SERVICE.

Do not use:

  • Website contact forms;

  • email;

9. WEBSITE CONTENT AND EDUCATIONAL INFORMATION

However, relationships, mental health, medicine, psychology, and applicable laws evolve over time.

We do not warrant that every piece of Website content will always be:

  • complete;

  • appropriate for every person.

You are responsible for deciding whether general educational content is appropriate for your circumstances.

10. NO GUARANTEE OF RESULTS

Authentic Marriages believes meaningful change and healthier relationships are possible.

However, human behavior, mental health, relationships, and treatment outcomes are influenced by many factors.

We do not guarantee:

They do not guarantee that you will achieve the same or similar results.

Where examples are composites, altered for confidentiality, or hypothetical educational illustrations, we may identify them accordingly where appropriate.

Clinical confidentiality will be protected in accordance with applicable law and professional standards.

12. PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY

You are responsible for your own decisions, actions, relationships, and well-being.

Participation in an Authentic Marriages program does not transfer responsibility for personal decisions to Authentic Marriages or its clinicians, coaches, facilitators, speakers, contractors, or staff.

You should seek individualized professional assistance when your circumstances require it.

13. REGISTRATION, PURCHASES, AND PROGRAM-SPECIFIC TERMS

  • attendance expectations;

  • missed-session policies;

  • behavioral expectations;

  • confidentiality expectations;

  • travel requirements; and

  • program-specific eligibility requirements.

When program-specific terms conflict with these general Website Terms regarding that program, the more specific agreement will control.
